About Our Team
At Vista Vet Clinic & Urgent Care, we take pride in being locally owned by our founding veterinarians and having a wonderful team of veterinary technicians and assistants that provide excellent care to our patients.
Leah Ravitz, DVM
Dr. Ravitz hails from the Jersey Shore. She obtained her BA in biology from Colgate University and her veterinary degree from Ross University. She did a one year rotating internship at Colorado State University. She then worked for 12 years in New York City as an emergency doctor followed by another 2 years in emergency here in Utah.
She was drawn to Utah for skiing and the ability to put her groceries in a car after city life. She shares her home with her husband, also a veterinarian, a toddler, not a veterinarian yet, a naughty dog and a perfect fluffy cat.
Annamaria Tadlock, DVM
Dr. Tadlock grew up in rural Oregon caring for a menagerie of rescue pets and farm animals. When she was 11 she wrote in her diary, “I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up”.
She obtained both her bachelor’s degree in biology and her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Oregon State University. She completed a one year rotating internship at Westvet (now MedVet) in Boise, Idaho and then moved to Utah to enjoy the outdoors and work at 24/7 vet emergency clinic. She lives with her husband and several rescued creatures: A perfect brown dog, a three-legged cat, a four-legged cat, and a flock of hens.
Carinne Ramirez, DVM
Dr. Ramirez grew up in rural California in a close-knit ranching community, where her love for animals began at an early age. She earned her veterinary degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Her professional interests include surgery and emergency care.
She lives with her husband, two children and their family pets: two dogs—a calm retriever and an overly enthusiastic pointer, and her cat named trout. When she’s not at the clinic, you can usually find her enjoying the outdoors, especially hiking, camping, or exploring the mountains with her family and dogs.
Kendyl Pinnock, CVT - Practice Manager
Kendyl Pinnock has over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, beginning her career as a high school intern at a local clinic. She earned her degree in Veterinary Technology from Broadview University in 2016, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). Kendyl has worked in various roles, including as an ER technician, and spent four years working in internal medicine. She is also a proud mother of three energetic boys and married to her husband, Skyler. Her hobbies include quilting, sewing, photography and anything outdoors.
Rachel - Certified Veterinary Technician
Rachel has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. She graduated from Broadview University in 2014 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician after completing an externship at Tracy Aviary. While much of her experience is in general practice, her passion for anesthesia and critical care led her to work in emergency medicine during the pandemic. She enjoys continuing to learn across all areas of veterinary medicine. Outside of work, Rachel loves music, spending time with her dog, Mavi, being outdoors, and attending concerts with her husband, Brian.
Kelsie - Veterinary Technician
Kelsie has had animals surrounding her since birth. She began volunteering at shelters as soon as she was old enough, and began working in vet med in 2009. She started in GP and boarding before moving to an emergency/specialty hospital where she worked ICU for 4 years, before returning to GP and urgent care. She loves working with spicy and timid cats the most, and providing compassionate patient care.
Outside of vet med she loves live music and theater, books, games, traveling, and anything geeky. She lives with her longtime partner and their 3 cats - a very sassy sphynx, a polydactyl cow-cat, and a beautiful shadowcat.
Nan - Veterinary Technician
Driven by a lifelong devotion to animals, Nan began her veterinary career as a kennel technician in 2017. She later transitioned to a fast-paced emergency hospital, where she spent nearly four years honing her skills as an ER technician with a specialized focus on triage.
Outside of the clinic, she maintains a diverse personal menagerie, including two horses, two dogs, a cat, a gecko, and an aquarium, along with a special fondness for raising chickens. Professionally, she is particularly passionate about managing canine allergies and studying dog behavior to improve the lives of both pets and their owners.
Sarah - Veterinary Technician
Sarah grew up in Northern Utah and has always had a deep love for animals. She cannot imagine her life without them and has built her education and experiences around her passion for caring for both animals and the people who love them. After serving a church mission, Sarah attended Utah State University, where she studied veterinary science and social work. Her studies have helped her understand the importance of caring for the whole family, recognizing that animals are often an important part of the lives of the people who love them.
Sarah is passionate about helping others and is constantly seeking opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference. She has recently applied to Vet School and hopes to continue her education and pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Bri - assistant
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bri has been passionate about animals since she was a little girl, especially horses. She received her technician assistant certification in 2020 through JATC and honed her skills working on a ranch in Reno, where she helped raise and show Gypsy Vanner horses. After moving back home in 2022 to be closer to family, she found her way to Vista, where she’s excited to expand her love for veterinary medicine. Outside of work, you can find her at the gym, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with her horse, Rhiannon, or playing with her puppy, Poppy.
Maycee - assistant
Maycee is a Veterinary Technician Assistant with a lifelong love for animals and a passion for veterinary medicine. Growing up on a small farm, she was surrounded by animals from an early age and spent much of her childhood caring for them and helping rescue animals in need. Those experiences sparked her passion for providing compassionate care and deepened her desire to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She is a proud pet parent to two cats and a dog and is excited to continue growing her knowledge and experience in the field. Outside of work, Maycee can usually be found exploring the mountains, crocheting, or relaxing at a cozy coffee shop.
